New York City is on the move with the appointment of 18 new (additional) Age-friendly NYC Commission members. This was recently announced by the de Blasio Administration in partnership with the New York City Council and the New York Academy of Medicine. The Commission, as a whole, is comprised of noted leaders from government, nonprofit, business, education and health care. NYC continues to identify and implement a number of initiatives to address the challenges older New Yorkers face. NYC also continues to be recognized as leader of the age-friendly movement nationally.
Thanks to Orion Strategic Advisory Board member, Sharon Lewis, for bringing this development to light.
